Version 2.73.2

Enhancements:

  1. New Search options - "Contacts", "Recent Documents" and "Files and Folders" have been added to the program and are located under the Folder Tree. While the "Files and Folders" option is available for all the Organizer and Filing Cabinet versions, the "Contacts" and "Recent Documents" options are available only for the Professional one.
  2. The user can open the "Files and Folders" Search window by clicking on the link or by pressing Ctrl+F. Other Shortcut Keys are:
    1. Ctrl+F3 to go through the folders ("Next Branch" button)
    2. F3 to go through the folders and the subfolders ("Next" button)
    3. Shift + F3 to go to the previous folders and subfolders ("Previous" button)
  3. The “Contacts” Search window can be opened by clicking on the "Contacts" link. The following are few Shortcut Keys available for this option:
    1. Ctrl+F3 to go through the folders ("Next Branch" button)
    2. F3 to go through the folders and the subfolders ("Next" button)
    3. Shift + F3 to go to the previous folders and subfolders ("Previous" button).
  4. The "Recent Documents" window can be opened by clicking on the "Recent Documents" link. This option allows the user to see/open documents that were added/opened in last 30 days.
  5. In the "Reminders" window there is a new button, "Locate in folders", which allows the user to go to the folder where the reminder is. This option is available on the "Contacts" and "Recent Documents" windows as well.
  6. The new binary of Organizer (V 2.73.2) has the latest version of PDFcamp (V 2.3).
  7. A website navigation link (button) has been added to the My Password-Protected Information. The website URL is also added to your "Favorites" websites.
  8. Entries in the Favorite Websites window can now be deleted by pressing the "Del" key on the keyboard.

Fixes:

  1. Display errors have been fixed in both the English and the French version of Organizer and Filing Cabinet such as minor spelling mistakes and windows which were looking unusual when they were maximized (the "Add Contact" and "Add email" from Outlook windows).
  2. Activation process has been improved.
  3. Update process correctly replaces the Dummies QuickFiler "Send To" link. 
  4. When QuickFiler opens the current Organizer and Filing Cabinet folder is selected by default.
  5. The update process for the "Key Contacts" tracker has been fix in the Small Business edition.
  6. Minor bugs were fixed in Trackers' "Print Preview" option.
  7. “Reminders” window shows again by default on application startup.
  8. The reminders are now correctly sorted after Date/Time in the "Reminders" window.


Version 2.72.2

Enhancements:

  1. User can create a contact in the folders without having to set an email program in the "Settings" section. Just click the "No" button in the "Email Settings" window that appears when you click the "Add Contact" button.
  2. A "Check for updates" window has been added to announce the user when a new version becomes available.

Fixes:

  1. The scanning and the synchronize options have been improved.

Enhancements:

  1. The School & Academic Life folder has been added to the Financial & Personal section. Financial & Personal > 02-Personal & Household folders > 11- School & Academic Life
  2. The Start-up Password Setting prompt box has been taken off from the application start-up. You can create a start-up password by going to Help> Settings> Password.
  3. On the Small Business Home page under My Most Important Business Contacts, contacts now can be categorized by two Contact Trackers
    1. Key Contacts
    2. Key Team Members
  4. XP users can choose how to scan a document by selecting Manufacturer Software or Default Windows Software from the scanning window.
  5. A Quick Scan button has been added to all the folders in _My Filing Cabinet. Now you can choose the last scanner and the scanning option by clicking this button. This option is also available in the Add Document window.

Fixes:

  1. The user can select any language in the Regional Settings from Windows without influencing the dates and the mathematical operations in Organizer and Filing Cabinet.


Version 2.70.1

Enhancements:

  1. Option for password protected login to the program is now offered after installation.
  2. Reminders are now sorted chronologically.
  3. Passed due reminders are marked by a star "*" symbol.
  4. Password Protected Area - data entry form is now resizable for smaller screen resolution.
  5. Sorting options have been added for the password protected entries.
  6. Reminders can now be synchronized with Outlook appointments (add, modify, delete) - Professional Version Only.
  7. Contacts can now be synchronized with Outlook (add, modify) - Professional Version Only.
  8. The button 'Sync' has been added in the upper menu.
  9. 'Security question and answer' option is now available in all forms when you add a record in "My Password Protected Information" section.
  10. A new folder eBooks has been added under the Media section.
  11. Password and Outlook Synchronization options have been added to the Settings section from Help.
  12. Date Modified is now available in My Folders and Saved Documents. It allows a user to see the date when a document or folder has been modified.
  13. You can drag and drop files in 'My Folders' and 'Saved Documents on this subject' sections of any cabinet folder.
  14. The application start-up time has been improved.
  15. Added functionality to prevent importing a duplicate email to the current folder.
  16. A Google button has been added in the toolbar. By clicking on this button user can go to Google Docs/templates.
  17. Download size of the setup file has been drastically reduced.
  18. The Outlook Express Connector process (eOrgOE.exe) will only be started if Outlook Express was selected as an option for importing emails into the Electronic Filing Cabinet.
  19. The 'Microsoft Office Outlook' security access window will not appear when you synchronize reminders (Professional Edition only) or add a contact from Outlook. It will however appear when you add an email from Outlook.

Fixes:

  1. Eliminated redundant 'add to subfolder' check box on add contact and add website.
  2. You can't add a website without writing the URL.
  3. If you don't have Outlook 2003/2007 installed, the Outlook option in Email Preferences is disabled.
  4. Does not allow duplicate email to be added to the same folder.
  5. Fixed a bug in the calculation of the “Total: Monthly Income – Expenses” amounts.
  6. Fixed minor bugs with Outlook 2003 integration.
  7. Fixed bug that prevented adding a document from scanner on Vista.
  8. Minor French translation fixes on the French version of the software have been corrected.
  9. The "Income & Commissions" folder has been added to the Help file.
  10. Fixed bug that prevented importing certain emails from Outlook, Outlook Express and Windows Mail. All emails should now be visible for import.
